Finally, my MSN Money UK sections go live!

Now normally when I do big jobs I like to use CodeIgniter but at work that is not an option. Instead I had to get these sections working using the same codebase as the rest of the company site on a subdomain, which was last done 2 or 3 years ago. It seems everyone who was around in the company then had either forgotten how, or had no idea!

Well after weeks of struggling with Apache config files, CNAME rules, tricky redirects and seemingly never ending change requests, the sites are live!

Will be a nice bullet point to go on my CV methinks.

Both links are broken?

Did you mean:

http://www.money.uk.msn.com/funds

and

http://www.money.uk.msn.com/pensions

Looks like those links are dead too. The MSN sections I created died when we switched our main website from lovely hand-written code to some megalith CMS. I re-worked the MSN sections into the CMS then MSN changed their layouts giving us only a weeks notice. The CMS could not be re-written that quickly and in the end we just never bothered to update it.

Then I quit the company because the IT section was being run by fucking idiots as you can probably tell from that little story.
