PyroCMS v0.9.7.3 released

Posted PyroCMS at Dec 07, 2009

After a long wait the new stable PyroCMS has been released which adds German language support and a bunch of other bug-fixes. It might not be anything crazy exciting but if you are using PyroCMS already it will take care of pretty much any bug you might have noticed so far.

If you aren't already using PyroCMS because you heard about the Apache crashing PHP 5.3 bug: good news. This release should stop your server crashing on the final installer stage.

We are building a Web application with Codeigniter, but we have not already developped our backend. Is it possible to use PyroCMS as a backend in our site without rebuilding everything, or do we have to use PyroCMS from the start to build a website?

As mentioned it is a tad on the ugly side. It seems to function swiftly as i would expect from anything CI powered. Its not intuitive though. I couldnt post/edit anything other than the profile or the 'settings' thing...
I at least expected something that (perhaps by default) looked like the pyrocms website which is chunky, but clean looking.
I will keep checking back to see how it progresses, but right now its far short of production worthy.
